Writing an Article
Young Explorers in Science welcomes original research articles from high school students aged 15–19. When preparing your article, keep the following in mind:
- Choose a clear and focused research question or topic.
- Include an introduction that explains why your study is important.
- Describe your methods so others could replicate your work.
- Present your results clearly, using tables, figures, or graphs if needed.
- Discuss what your findings mean and how they contribute to your field.
- Conclude with a summary of your main points and possible future directions.
Articles should be written in clear, concise language and follow proper grammar and spelling, using provided template. Remember to cite all sources and give credit to any collaborators or mentors who helped with your research. For detailed guidance on writing a scientific paper, see this guide.
Using AI tools is allowed to assist with writing or analysis, but they must be used ethically. Any AI-generated content should be clearly acknowledged, and students remain responsible for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of their work. See this guideline to learn more about ethical AI use in writing.
Submitting an article gives you the opportunity to share your work, receive feedback from experienced scientists, and participate in the broader scientific community.
